56cm / 22 inches
Ball jointed Doll, BJD: 14 with leather lined joints, the elbow and knees are double joints.
Porcelain, with china paint, applied in several layers, each layer fired elaborately in an individual process - partially gilded with 24k gold - crystal-glass eyes, leather, Brass.

I love the term "Homo gracilis". I know the term "Gracil Australopithacus", but not familiar with "Homo gracilis" - did you invent it as a scientific name for an android species? If so - bravo! It's so clever.

Individualy fired? Did you actually cast and fire the doll too or are the porcelain BJD's capable of being reheated for glazing? Either way this is spectacular! Beautiful paint (and glazing) as well as the hand crafted metal parts. I do a little custom work for my wifes BJD's but I've never (read yet as I have an idea I want to try out later.) grabbed the sheet metal and a hammer for anything. Simply stunning.

It's quite lovely. The look of it reminds me of an Art Deco figurine. I love the gears and screws designed on the gold portions.
