Description
My final project for my Tech Theater class was to be a member of a production team for "Dr. Faustus." I was the costume designer and had to create renderings for a number of characters. The director of the group chose the design concept, and my director chose a 1920's speakeasy/gangsters/flappers concept, so I had to do a great deal of research on clothing from the 20's. A lot of my research was based off of the movie "Bugsy Malone" because that allowed me to see how the clothes moved with the people, plus I got to watch clips on youtube and say I was doing homework . ANYWAYS. This is Mephistophilis, the demon summoned by Faustus to do his bidding. This rendering is def my favorite of all the ones I made, it turned out incredibly well (for me, anyways). I'm really happy with the center image, especially. He's pretty badass. When he first appears, he is wearing the full ensemble, seen in the lower right, then as the play progresses, he discards various items until a specific scene (for those of you who have had the misfortune to read the incredibly boring play that is "Dr. Faustus," the scene with Robin and Ralph) where he is very casual. Then he gradually gets all of his clothes back XD

The writing is hard to see, but basically, it was early/late, I was tired and bored and felt like being a smart-ass. Not quite so much on this one, but on Faustus' you can see quite a bit of snarky comments. I might get around to making a list and putting them in here, lol.
