What the heck, Luna- you can't just hit a filly- especially not one who needs your guidance.Well... I guided her out of her bedroom window and into a giant humble pie.
Humble pie tastes like crap! Give me some lemon pie! Ugh; that filly is going to be trouble for a long while.
Don't look at me; I didn't write her. What? Some characters in the show exist for one reason.
You know that one royal guard we have that isn't white? Hm; I have noticed him. He must have been important, right?
No. The show writers think if Twilight Sparkle gets him as a love interest they can use it to make a canon couple.
Ratings and views go up; we all win. But we already have a female audience... who is this guy?
We have some poor sap who thinks making more incidental cameo appearances than Stan Lee is going to win hearts? Oh, that's cute.
The love interest idea is dumb if that guy's going to mosey his way into the Mane 6 long enough to actually develop.
Whatever happens between those two, it's gonna be hamfisted. Hi Princess! Twilight! You're back! WHO ARE YOU?

That would inspire child violence, and if a Japanese show which thrives on violence (DBZ) couldn't do it without getting censored, neither can MLP. Though Luna pulling her out of a nightmare, listening to her ranting for a few seconds, then proceeding to send her back into the nightmare, that might be possible.

There has been zero evidence to conclude that violent media causes violence in real life. Video games in particular have had tests like these done to them time and time again to no avail.

I never said that it was censored with a cause, or that I'm a liberal. I'm just looking at the facts: If DBZ, a show where violence is anticipated at every corner for viewers, couldn't hit a child without getting censored in the American version, the chances of MLP being able to do it are next to none. The only loop hole that might exist, (that I can see that is), is that Ponies aren't children. The censors may see DT as just a pony and not of any younger age than the rest, in which case throw away Hashbro! XD
Oh, and btw I've played violent video games since before my teen years, and I'm far from violent in nature. That being said, those games taught me that violence is to be preserved for when it's needed. Aka, only fight if it's to survive. (Yes, I played a lot of survival horror growing up) Other kids who play CoD and talk to all those a-holes online might be under a different influence, and could very well grow up to be pretty violent. But if they're susceptible to that influence to begin with, I dare say they were going to be a violent individual since the beginning. To summarize: Games present us with violence, but it's our jobs as human beings to moralize said violence and determine how we should apply it to real life situations. A video game doesn't make us violent, it just helps us realize if we are to begin with. That's my theory anyway.

Not exactly. I've always theorized that if games were perfectly realistic in their depictions of violence we'd like them a lot less. Call of Duty, among many other violent video games, have fights draw out where characters are completely healthy until they reach 0 hitpoints. More realistic games like ARMA have been proven to sell poorly because the combat felt bad. The idea of getting hurt and having no control over recovering felt bad; which is why it eventually blew up in sales from the creation of Day Z. Ironically, zombies made everything better.

Topic changed from the violence to whether or not we like the game, but I'll play along. I personally adore survival horror, ever since I played RE4 (which is one of few games in existence that I could literally pick up and play without getting bored, regardless of my current obsessions), so for me the more gritty and realistic the survival aspect is, the better. I want to have to think about food, water, restrooms, hygiene, and all the rest of life's realities, while fighting for my life against whatever enemy they choose (preferably in a setting that could happen in real life, the more relatable the scarier), but sadly I'm a PS3 gamer, and the one thing I've seen that comes close to my fantasies is as you mentioned: Day Z. I've only seen Pewdiepie and Cry play a little bit but it looks like something I'd enjoy, if it was for my console :/ I'll just have to wait and see if Resident Evil grows a brain and reboots into something that can be called survival, otherwise no other franchise seems to be heading in the right direction (that I'm aware of)
