I had to rewatch the video to know what you meant, and I guess it's quite so. So far, the brony culture (since is way unexpected itself), is normally pictured with unexpected fans. Ergo, the guys.
I have to mention too that the normal demographic of the show are still little girls, that's where the bronies stand out, because they're the total opposite (most of the time), everyone would think that grown-up girls (the pegasisters) aren't so strange, therefore they don't really stand out.
I'm not saying it should be like that, Tara-Pony made a good point in the video, they are still quite a strong part in the brony battalion (so to speak). But then again, the attention falls in the strangest part.
That's just my theory, like any other one, it could be wrong.

It's a joke about how the voice actors can clash with the personality of their characters. I think.
So basically Twilight is trying to answer AJ and Tara strong (whose OC is the other unicorn am I right?) made her go om nom nom and Twilight got annoyed at her own voice actor.
It's not far off from the old Looney Tunes cartoon where Daffy gets messed with by the artist of the show and it's Bugs holding the brush at the end.
