Got your reply - thanks!! Glad I'm not the only one who drool over Takeshi. I fear I'm alone in it in my apartment, though, which is strange - the roomie who basically introduced me to all things Japanese doesn't even seem to know who he is! But then, I don't think she's seen anything with him in it. I think I need to fix that.
*heads for the video rental shop*
Glad you enjoyed Takeshi!Gojyo. I couldn't remember if we'd ever talked about Saiyuki before. But yeah, one of my favorite series, without a doubt. Me and my roonies have a bit of a Saiyuki dynamic - guess which character I am? *giggles* I've basically just seen the anime, though I'd love to read the manga, and I LOOOOOVE Minekura's art style. My roomie has the "Salty Dog" art books, and trust me, I can (and have) spend HOURS staring at them. So. Pretty. I've actually seen a bit of a live-action Saiyuki, though it's not related to the anime at all, and Sanzo is played by a woman... O.o (apparently Sanzo is traditionally played by one....) It's good, but in a totally different way from the anime. I *have* heard about a Saiyuki musical, though, based on the anime. When I hear about silly-cool stuff like that, I wish to God I lived in Japan... they just have the best stuff!
Hope your endeavors with your Lucretia are going well - new computers are always fun, and also always a bit disorienting after being used to something else. Though I can't offer a copy of photoshop (sounds like you're getting your hands on it okay, though), I *can* offer photoshop tech-support if you need it - I don't claim to be an expert by any means, but I've figured a lot of tricks, and quite a few ways to tweak its tool and effects. So bother away, if you want!
Well, I'm off to upload some new stuff. Can't wait to see some new stuff from you!

Far out this reply is waaaay overdue......I have been busy...but no more excuses...
So bad news on the vegemite front...we can't mail any food stuffs to America anymore...something to do with terrorism...oh and anthrax...why they'd put anthrax in Vegemite is anyones guess...it might make it taste better for one thing...hehe. Well I've got your address for nothing now...maybe I'll mail me instead...I'd make a good Ozzie souvenir or sumfin...you can take me to school for show and tell...
Did you get Shinobi and House of Flying Daggers out yet? No self respecting Takeshi fan can go another day without observing the yumminess that is to be found in HoFD...nope...not one more second is to be wasted...
Live action Saiyuki...never heard of it...Sanzo is played by a woman you say...outrageous...have you got a link for me to check out...I'm intrigued. I think the Saiyuki musical is going a bit too far for my tastes though...hehe...not a fan of musicals myself, unless they are stroke of brilliance, they tend to embarrass me otherwise. I'd probably watch it out of some sort of sick and twisted "look at that crash victim with it's guts hanging out" kind of way...a form of masochism perhaps.
I have some news of the fluffy variety. I have a new kitty cat...two in fact. I was supposed to take only one from the litter and my mum the other, but when I went to pick up mine we decided not to seperate them 'coz they are only 8 weeks old (born 1st week of sept making them Virgos), so they both ended up with me. One is all black and her name is Ninja and boy does she live up to her name and the other is black, white and grey and very beautiful so I called him Komachi. I was originally told that Ninja was a boy and Komachi was a girl, turns out it was the reverse...oh well...the names still work...girls can be Ninjas and boys can be beautiful so there ya go. They have the best personalities, probably 'coz they are a mix of breeds, and are quite intelligent from what I can tell so far and full of beans...*sigh*...the little cuties...
Anyways enough of that, don't wanna be one of those cat people that go on and on about it..aaaaawww kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty...whoops sawry...hehe...
Right, don't got me no photoshop yet, but I'm working that one, but when I do, boy you're in for it, the questions will come flying that's for sure...

[my apologies if this posts more than once. DA is being asinine right now.]
Mooooooooooo about the vegemite! Dangit, I was really looking forward to the, er, experience, too! Ah well, not your fault. But ya know, there must be some *really* dangerous reclusive Aussie goth-types out there *somewhere*, so it's for all our good. *nodnod*
Haven't managed to see Shinobi yet, but my roomie is downloading it as I type. But I *did* watch House of Flying Daggers earlier tonight, and....
OH.
MY.
GOD.
I can forgive Takeshi for speaking Chinese [which I find rather hideous to listen to] a thousand times over, beacuse every other inch of him completely made up for it. I haven't drooled so hard in ages, and completely forgot to breathe at a few parts, and suspected I might need a cold shower a couple of times. Good God, it was utterly beautiful. And he is a damn good on-screen kisser, too - not *quite* on par with Colin Firth (who, even if you don't otherwise fancy him, is the BEST on-screen kisser I have ever seen), but damn good. And Lord, his haaaair. *melts* And his back, and his eyes, and... well, everything! *swoons thinking about him*
Not that I ever doubted you, but from now on when you recommend a movie, I'll know I have no logical choice but to obey!
.....
Okay, um. Other stuff to talk about besides Takeshi (who is obviously a highly worthy conversation topic, any day of the week): the live-action Saiyuki isn't so much *Saiyuki* (though that *is* its title), so much as 'live action Journey to the West', if that makes sense. And apparently Sanzo is traditionally played by a woman. Go figure. She was even bald, too. (it didn't look fake, either... Japanese actors are dedicated, I guess!) My favorite part about it is, of couse, Goku, who, though differenet from Minekura's version, is still very much himself. It's no sexy anime, but it is kinda fun.
And the point of anime musicals is not to have good music, good plot, good acting, or even good sets, but to have hot boys prancing onstage in cosplay. As proven by the guy who played Renji in the Bleach musical. I wish I had a picture for evidence, but you'll just have to trust me when I say he was indeed yummy.
Aaaaand, don't worry about sparing me from gushing about kittens. I adore cats, and I wish fervently I could have some where I live right now, but I can't. Pesky apartment regulations. If you get some pictures of them, you must email them to me! I wish I could be there to snuggle them, but I guess I could make do with pictures. Loooovely name choices, too, I must say. If and when I have pets, I'm afraid they're fairly certain to be stuck with Japanese names. As it is, when I'm at my parents' house I call our family dog Jenny-chan, and I call our cat neko-sama (because you *know* cats are 'sama's. Honestly.), and jabber to them in Japanese... it's silly, but fun.
So you can go on and on about your lovelies if you want, and I won't complain a bit.
...oh, and I wanted to apologize that I haven't commented on the stuff you uploaded recently yet... I'm afraid all of DA has been neglected by me lately. But fear not, I shall prevail! *trudges off*

Hiya hun, I've been grappling for just one day of peace to reply to your message so today I had the day off work but what did I do?...slept nearly all day of course, must've needed it...hehe...so now I've pressed my own refresher button and am ready for a tippy-tappy frenzy...
So yeah, House of Flying Daggers...
Like
Oh
My
God
I
Know...
Haha...told ya...I was practically ready for a ventilator myself...
Hmmm on screen kissers...Colin Firth ay?...um, are you refering to "Pride and Prejudice"...or another film? Can't say I've paid too much attention to his kissing...but just as you mentioned, his black eyes get me too, I'm a sucker for em...Mr.Depp comes to mind...*mind wanders*...whoops you lost me there...
Actually a good on-screen kiss just sprang to mind. Have you seen the film "Heathers"?...silly 90s black arty film...Christian Slater and Winona Ryder are having a tiff towards the end and she's kinda dumping him so in a desperate attempt to hold on to her, he grabs her roughly and smacks her one...boy...I swear, the 1st time I saw that scene I went weak at the knees...lucky I was sitting down...such a display of forceful masculinity...hehe...and then there's Johnny's ever appreciated kiss scene in "Chocolat"...*sigh*...I miss kissing...
Komachi and Ninja are doing well, they'll be ready for de-sexing and vacinating soon. I'm having heaps of trouble toilet training Komachi, he just won't do it, I've tried all the tricks, he just refuses to use a kitty litter... Ninja, on the other hand, she was great from the start...just went straight to it no prob. Gawd they're great little personalities though...I wuv em...
I'll work on getting some pics of them to ya. I love the name Neko-sama...teehee...and of course Japanese would be the prefered cat language...lol.
Ok sweety, hope alls well wif yooo and your thanksgiving was noice 'n' all...speak soon no doubt...

Ohhhh, yes, House of Flying Daggers was utterly looooovely. I think it's one I'll definitely have to own, and I don't own many moveis, so that means I *really* like it. And while on the subject of Takeshi, have you seen this website? The pictures go on forever, and there's some video clips too.
[link]
Colin Firth... yes, in Pride and Prejudice, and also in the Bridget Jones movies (which are lovely because of him even if you can't stand the rest of them)... my roomie told me that one of his kisses (maybe in the first Bridget Jones movie... not sure) had even been voted 'best kiss' in a poll. He just has a way of being very - oh, how shall I put it? - *passionate* in his onscreen kisses. It's lovely. I haven't seen 'Heathers', but I suppose I must if you're recommending it. Christian Slater is rather nice in himself... I hadn't been wawre he was a good kisser too. And I confess I haven't seen Chocolat either. Ahh, I feel so sheltered....
But yes, I agree - kissing is one of the things I miss most about having a boyfriend. Oh, and on the boyfriend front: still no luck yet. The fellow I met at the Renaissance faire is very nice, and we've even been keeping up on the phone since then (which is certainly a step up from just internet conversations like you and I have), but there's no romance developing at this point. My immediate mental reaction when I met him at the faire was 'darnit... why can't you be cuter... and taller [and less hairy, from what I saw of his arms... ugh]?' He's not *bad* looking, I suppose, but does leave quite a bit to be desired, and is almost the exact same height as me, which bothers me, because I'm quite tall (5'10"... not sure what that is in centimeters), and it's uncanny to look directly into the eyes of a guy I want to think of as a potential romantic partner (I suppose I can blame it on my dad being 6'5"... so my 'ideal' is a guy who is at least a *little* taller than me). I know it's horribly shallow of me, but having been through one long relationship that didn't end up working out, I really want to hold out for the best I can get. We live a long way from each other (about 5 hours, I believe), which rather hampers things, and though we have a lot in common, conversation in person was pretty strained, which I think is also a discouraging sign. Ah, well, I guess I'll just keep holding out for now.
It sounds like your having fun with the kittens, even if Komachi is being rascally about toilet training.. have you tried newspaper, or scenting the litter with catnip? I've grown up with cats around my house, but have been lucky enough to live in the country, so they've always been outdoor pets only... so I confess I'm far more clueless than you about training them. I wish you good luck, though. I'm still waiting on some pictures... I think it must be getting to me, because I dreamed a few night ago that I had gotten a kitten - a tiny, sweet grey-striped thing. I was very sad when I woke up and found it wasn't true. *cries*
Aaaanyway, I must be off to do some quick homework... and upload a couple things, and then it's off to bed for me - I arrived home at my apartment earlier just this afternoon, after a 26-hour drive home from Texas, and even though I was only riding, and not driving, I'm still pretty worn out. Hope you're doing well yourself!

OOOOOMMMMYYYYGGGGOOOOD!!!
Could you want anymore Takeshi pics...well maybe 1 more...what a collection ay...sombody has got a bit of an obsession it seems...lol...well it's understandable...and bless her little cotton socks for sharing, and thank you as well, the guy is perfection!!!...
Hmm...I watched that "Bridget Jones" kiss again...yeppers...I give it 7.5...and I own the '95 BBC production of "Pride and Prejudice", which means I've seen it umpteen times...and I gotta say the kissing scene wasn't something that stood out except for the fact that you were relieved they finally got their groove on... Hun, you MUST see "Chocolat"...Johnny is THE SEX in that movie...I mean...he's a guitar playing Gypsy loverboy...how much more fan service could you want...hehe....mmmm....*mind wanders*....ok...back now...so where was I?...right, and "Heathers", you will either really love or really hate, it's black humour is prob a bit dated by todays standards but it was kinda break-through for it's time...I'll leave that one with you...
Hmm...I've been thinking about the whole subject of kissing since we both brought it up...or was it you?...I'll blame you...after all...I'm the epitome of virginal perfection of course...yeah...so...I was thinking about which of my boyfriends was the best kisser...do you have a favourite kisser? It wasn't my 1st, he slobbered... Yup, I think it was my second long term b/f...he was the best kisser, he had these perfect pretty bow lips that were always a lovely pink/red colour...a bit like Mr.Depps actually...I was always insanely jealous of them in fact...anyways, they not only looked enticing but were highly functional as well...hehe...
My last boyfriend didn't like kissing so much...a common thing with guys apparently...which usually means they have intimacy issues...and can mean death to most relationships 'coz kissing can be more sexual than sex IMHO...what's your take?
Hey, what a shame about the "Renaissance Faire" dood being not quite what does it for ya...and being attracted to a certain type isn't exactly shallow imho...it doesn't matter if they're very good looking or average in that dept, if someone doesn't "float yer boat" or if the chemistry just ain't there then the best looking guy in the world means didly squat...ya?...ya!! You're 5'10...wow...half your luck...and I can see how height can be a factor for you but boy, I wish I was long and lanky. I'm a tiny 5'1...actually I'm just under that in fact...it's lucky I'm a Goth...the platform boots and big hair extensions make me look taller than I am so I get away with it...until I take my shoes off and let my hair down that is...lol...but yeah...most guys are taller than me without even trying. If it's any consolation, I've been knocked back for being too short...yup...a guy actually said that to me......so thar ya go...you can't be everything to everyone...*sigh* Btw, my dad is 6'3 and my brother is 6'2...even mum is 5'4...so what happened to me?...freak'n throwback that's what...hehe...
It's interesting you mentioned the step from internet text only relationships to actual live phone conversation and then...the freak out of all freak outs...actually meeting in person...which hasn't happened to me yet...'cept I heard the voice of someone I've been chatting to for a few months now...he recorded a hello for me, it was sooo cute, just like him......he's got a nice voice too and it made it seem just a little bit more real for me as well. I reckon you and I would just sit down in person and chat like that's what we've been doing all along...but it's bizzare all this cyber-friendship bizzo when you really think about it...I'm a natural blabber mouth in reality, which you can tell by my long messages...lol...but I don't ever talk about personal stuff to strangers unless I've known them for at least half a year but the internet just makes all those barriers come crashing down. So if I actually met someone I've been chatting to over the net, I'd be fascinated to see if it would take on from where the written form left off or if I would find myself sitting near someone I have absolutely nothing in common with...except for the love of crapping on to aquaintances over the net...lol...maybe I'm over-analysing...what do you think?
Hey, it would be kewl if someone did a doco on the subject and filmed internet love relationships that meet for the 1st time in person...it would be really interesting to see what percentage of them had any substance...
Anyways...this message is getting tooo long as usual...are you doing anything exciting over the Xmas holidays? It's my birthday on the 13th and I'm celebrating by getting some new hair extensions in...exciting stuff...okee...toodles...
