one suggestion, try blending those scanlines in a little more . . .try an opacity of like 40% or something, they are a little too pronounced.

I like the metal on this but the lines seem to take away from the brilliant colors that could be brought out here. I visited your site and can't seem to picture this header in place. With this header idea, are you planning on redesigning your personal website?
