I've increased the size of my dumps again and gosh I am not used to it at all. I hope it's not TOO big for ease of viewing...
I know I'd size down a lot of this stuff normally but I had so much room everything's a bit bigger, yet it still feels a bit more empty. Granted, I don't have a WHOLE lot to show this time which definitely adds to the emptiness, but I'll have to adjust to it. I just don't like that I had to add in so many space filler bees ~///~
This installment mostly contains concept doodles, characters for other people, magical girls, and pokemon. Also Rilu, that little scamp. I'm a bit underwhelmed with it, but I hope you enjoy anyways.

Also dang Rilu gurl looking good. And Quinn's design is fantastic, that's a really cool way to incorporate calico colouring

Hmm, I think more heavy than mona, but that's because muscle weighs more than fat. Mona's got more curves in her upper body/chest than Rilu, and Rilu's a more buff/toned. All her weight goes to her butt and thighs, so I'll probably keep that silhouette.

Do you have any tips for poses? Let's see if I can explain this.... Whenever I try to draw character designs, I can never really think of any good poses to put the character in to make the picture less boring. Do you have any simple poses that you tend to use for your character designs? Sorry if I didn't really explain it well.

Poses, hmm? They are pretty tough at first! Try grabbing the character's personality and pushing that factor. Are they confident and smug? Legs firmly planted, hands on hips! Confrontational and snooty? Put their weight on one leg and cross their arms. Shy and nervous? Have them loosely hugging an arm, slouched over a little. Delicate and cute? Tucking hair behind their ear, pigeon toed! It helps me stay away from more general "floating around in space" poses I do (because I don't like drawing static standing at all omg)
Also maybe consider looking up pose references for ideas! It can be other people's art or photos of real people, but gathering a inspiration folder will keep you from running dry. *SenshiStock has a great selection, and I just found this and this site recently! The second one is couple-centric, but you can always only draw one of them! Hope you don't mind the underpants in it, but it is safe for work x//) Hope that helps, and don't worry at all!
