To pull a complete 180 from the last entry, despite valuing Brian’s friendship sometimes, Stewie is also relentlessly cruel to the family dog. One of the worst things he does personally to Brian happens when Stewie takes a page out of organized crime in this divisive episode from season four, where he becomes a bookie and takes bets on a “Celebrity Boxing” match between Mike Tyson and Carol Channing. Brian bets $50 on Tyson, who proceeds to lose in a shocking upset. After he is unable to come up with the money, mainly due to the fact that he doesn’t take Stewie seriously, Stewie resorts to beating Brian severely, nearly drowning him in the toilet, shooting both his knees, and even lighting him on fire. Suffice to say, Stewie was serious, and Brian definitely learned that lesson the hard way. While the violence is so absurdly graphic that it’s clearly meant for comedy, the fact that Stewie does such to a friend is pretty awful. Granted, Brian stoops pretty low to get him back.
