Description
Part One:You walk into a small dust ridden room, cobwebs fill each crease and crevasse, the musky smell of old books mix with melted wax fills your nose. As you progress through the room, you notice two dark oak shelves flank you. They are overfilled with dusty books, scrolls, and several picture frames dripping with dried candle wax. You look along each shelf until your eye catches a small glow emanating from a tiny glowing pumpkin propped up against a small, gold framed picture that is wedged between several scrolls. Within the frame an almost skeletal dragon moves under a full moon, almost looking as though it could breach the frame itself. From behind the frame two pairs of glowing eyes accompanied by a small, brown, furry body containing eight, brown, furry legs appears.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
Part Two:
You walk into a room where the only thing that can be seen within the pit of darkness is a faint glow. The darkness feels almost like a warm breath, breathing down the back of your neck, beads of sweat emerge from your flesh. The musk of dust, cobwebs and melting candle wax fills your nostrils as you progress into the darkness. Behind you the door you thought you walked through is no longer there, forcing you to continue toward the glow. As you have no light of your own, you walk slowly with your arms outstretched and feet feeling what seems like empty space in front of you. Once you reach the glow, you realise it is a candelabra of sorts. The base is that of a glowing jack-o'-lantern, with a tiny twisted tree curled around it. The tree has three hands holding three dripping candles, lit via tall, luminescent flames. Sticky cobwebs reach across the hands and a small, fluffy spider is perched on the right side, its eyes glowing a dangerous green. At the base of the candelabra a small almost skeletal dragon is laying awaiting you.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
Part Three:
You continue through the darkness with the twisted candelabra until you see another doorway. You enter the room seeing a long dining table. In the middle a large, pumpkin teapot sits, its handle looks to be made from bones and its spout made from pumpkin vines. Along the table are chairs made from twisted wood and in front of each chair on the table is a setting of small, silver teacups encased also in bones. You look into the closest cup and discover what seems to be the same furry spider you saw when you picked up the candelabra and in the narrow room filled with books. The dragon is nowhere to be seen.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
Part Four:
You walk past the long table, watching as the little spider jumps its way along the teacups to keep up with you. You find a doorway covered in strings of beads leading into a vast room filled with colour. You lose sight of the little spider as you venture forth into the strange room. Shelves line every wall filled and illuminated by candles that highlight strange jars and bottles containing not only colourful liquids and dusts but also strange ghastly creatures and things one wouldn't hope to see within a kitchen. A movement catches your eye as the little spider jumps up onto a shelf, leaning amongst several of the jars containing colourful liquids.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
Part Five:
You continue to watch the spider as he bounces around the jars until he disappears around a corner. Do you follow?
If you do, you find a large, bubbling cauldron, seeping with some sort of green substance. The cauldron sits on some sort of pebble flooring, not containing any timber or kindling, the claw-like feet lit with a large fire. You find it odd that you can't smell anything other than a hint of smoke and the assorted spices from the other room. You look around to find the little spider sitting atop a long ladle inside the cauldron leaning over the steam rubbing his front legs together. Around this part of the room there are more shelves and tables filled with assorted herbs, spices, and other strange substances. However, on a stand not to far from the cauldron is a twisted books stand containing a large tome, open for anyone to read.
What do you do?
Part Six:
As you walk over to the tome, the little spider jumps down off his ladle and speeds across the room, climbing up the twisted, spiralled book stand until he is perched a top the left page. He seems to be a fair amount bigger than anticipated as he takes up almost the top, left half of the tome. The pages are toned from age, small tears in a few of the pages, and the corners embroidered with gold.
DO YOU APPROACH?
If you do approach the tome, you notice a red ribbon with a single word written in Latin: Pulchrumest. Which translates to Beautiful. You glance over the pages reading: 'Upon these words I transfer myself amongst these walls to protect the magic within. Fio unim cum hoc libro'
On the following page you can made out a small paragraph reading; 'Read this spell and become the master of this house and all of the magic it pocesses.'
However, you can't make out much else aside from BEWARE.
DO YOU READ THE SPELL OUT LOUD?
