Moving on to the middle brother of the spooky trio! Meet Blake (an English name, one of the meanings being "dark,") the scrapper of the brothers. He's the most likely to get his hands dirty, whether it be actual dirt or the blood from his opponent's crooked nose. Blake talks a big game, but has the skill to back it up. He's also not afraid to get sneaky in his attacks, often using Hypnosis in order to swipe peoples' wallets without much trouble.

While he comes across as crass and snobbish, Blake actually has a big heart. He's very close to his baby brother Devin and fiercely protective of him. Lately he's been encouraging Devin's interest in befriending Cleffa, partly because he wants him to grow as a person, but mostly because Blake himself has developed a massive crush on Cleffa's older sister, Clefairy. The irony isn't lost on anyone.

Blake has a slightly harsher relationship with his elder brother, who he sees as overbearing and only caring about the job at hand. What he doesn't understand, or maybe refuses to see, is the weight that Gengar carries by trying to fill the void their parents left behind...
