I've been thinking of drawing North and South American dinosaurs in the dresses of various indigenous tribes and nations, as a nice little excuse to depict them when I've mainly drawn European dinosaurs. Then I remembered that the Nahua speakers (the foundation of the Aztec empire) originated from the American Southwest in the area where Dilophosaurus fossils have been discovered, so I easily imagined this. It was a quick drawing I did off a piece of crap printing paper, with me mostly using both art depictions of Dilophosaurus and one or two paintings of actual Aztec priests to get the result I desired.
