I love the water as well, being on the east coast makes it easy to get to. The title has no real deep meaning. The mood of the image is somber and the old pilings, standing out starkly in silhouette, made me think of crucifixes, less the cross pieces. I guess just some odd synaptic firing of neurons in my brain happened to cause a strange connection. Thanks for the comment! P.
