Description
This is my own school logo for some old, Romanian Academy of Dragon Training.

At first I wanted to make a concept of Charlie Weasley.
After writing down everything I know about him I realized it's impossible to do it without a school emblem.

WHY TRANSYLVANIA:
As we can't place Beauxbuttons, Hogwart or Durmstrang on the map, I wanted to avoid picking a particular City for this school. The idea was for this logo to be as recognisable and easy to associate with Charlie, as possible, not using the word "Romania". Transylvania is probably the most iconic part of this country - at least in popculture, so it seamed to be the perfect match.

NAME AND SYMBOLS:
Balaur is an old, mythic dragon-like creature from Romanian legends. Most stories describe it with multiple heads and wings.
It took me some time to find the perfect "school mascot", but I think this one fits perfectly. Maybe that's why Mrs. Rowling decided to put Charlie and his school in Romania?

The book is pretty obvious and I borrowed the idea from Oxford logo.
The circle and the band may be considered as a cliché, but at some point I wanted to preserve some standards. Just to balance to the triple headed dragon which is rather uncommonly seen in school emblems.
Finally we have 3 stars, sun and a moon – they appear in almost every Romanian symbol and I wanted to give my logo a little patriotic smidgen.
