I love the contrast of the shadows on her skin with the flat white of the background

This photo didn't show up in my messages, but the WIP did. This is very nice. It looks like it took you quite some time.

very eye-catching but the model's panty is a NO-GO. A fleshy and smaller one would have been more appropriate.

Maybe the photographer did want to question the border between computer processing and work "on the spot" ?

maybe you're right. but for me art it has always been outside of understanding, logic and morality, but rather on the level of feelings.
i realy like this picture, i'll put it in my favorites... between illustration of pink pony explaining the origin of the universe and photo of sunset by Mr. Jones taken on his phone.

I see, if for you art is about plasticity and expressionism, I understand your point -though I don't agree with your sarcasm- even if I find this photo has a strong aesthetical dimension ; but to come back to the computer topic, a software might not have been as efficient as hand to cut "random" squares and rectangles, plus the fact that for a wall of that size, the photographer could have a better view on his work than on a 21'inches screen, couldn't he ?
Anyways, keep it cool~

pity that i speak well only in Russian) i know what is the creative flow of thought. it is not constant and the ultimate goal is not always in the "Focus". If the worker process can be simplified and speeded up.
all the artists on this site are sitting with one purpose, to satisfy his ego. give too much importance to squares is not worth. sucking of the finger long hours to the attempt to create, it's not mine. i have a feeling photocopying process. as well as what is called a style.
in any case, either like it or not.
what he did is interesting, but for a moment. a month we will forget about it, although attached so much importance.
all the best to you too.

Sometimes it's nice to put in the extra effort and time, to know that you created something that was entirely real.

For me, photography in capturing a moment, process itself is fast.
if you want to spend a little more time, just take the canvas and paint.
ps. maybe he just likes to glue the squares on her tits.

Everyone has their own ways of doing things. I like to create things in real life that seem like they wouldn't exist, I just get more gratification from creating it than from photoshopping it in. I have nothing at all against photoshop, I use it all the time, I just think that if I can create it in real life it's more fun for me.

I do not care about the end of result, i have long learned to take photos without using camera... use only the memory of my brain.
And, yes you just enjoy the process. Everything else is empty words.
ps. sometimes cigar it's just a tits.

Yes, the mob is very fickle. Does it's fickleness demand that we stop our art? No. While the fads may come and go, us artists will keep on producing our artwork for ourselves, not to cater to the whims of the mob. One's art should not be merely for others' enjoyment, but for the artist to express his or her feelings.
