Would you have guessed what this is?

It is an impressive lock mechanism (from the 16th century) of a big
metal box I found in the Citadel of Dinant , Belgium. I really love the
shapes, textures and symbols... I took this photo last summer and
forgot to share it (I made some edits to improve the details, colors,
composition...). View some of my other photos taken in Belgium .

It would make a great Facebook cover, by the way...

Yes I would've. Saw one of these on the program "Pawn Stars" last year. The key mechanism was in the center of the top of the chest, and it took 1 full turn of this "KEY" which unlocked all 4 sides because there were 4 sequential mechanisms to unlock. The chest was 18th century sea chest.

it's like a hieroglyphic of snakes.
