Every woman's nightmare... hair dryer in reverse mode
OK, this was almost an improvised photo while Alizée was
getting ready for our shooting but I spent a bit of time to
edit it and boost every detail of it.
If you wish, you can view some preparatory and some
backstage pictures at this link .
I took this photo in the frame of the "Tour De France Photo "
Model: Alizée Poulicek
Hair Styling: Alain Spaens by Joseph
Master Makeup Artist: Avital Assayag
Fashion Design: Alizée Poulicek
Photography (+ editing): Ben Heine
Location: The Dominican Hotel

No matter how hard I try to, I can't see this as a photo. o_o

It might have something to do with the stupidly excessive photoshopping. It looks like it's a 3D model or something, definitely not a photo. :/

"stupidly excessive"? So what? unedited pictures are worthless
I didn't change the composition, it's still a photograh, I think it would have been a "manipulation" if I had added the hairdryer afterwards for instance, which is not the case. Everything was there, I edited the skin, light, texture etc... This is just pro photo editing, no manipulation

Loads of people noticed the very unrealistic look to this, I'd say it's not that pro. 8I

The editing is perfect, I especially like the shine around the hair dryer... makes it creepy.
Ironic and nice work.

Beautiful detail in the face, and I also love the expression very much. And yes, I actually do have that fear of not only getting my hair sucked into a hair dryer, but then getting electrocuted and setting my hair on fire haha. Now THAT would be an awesome photo.
Keep up the great work

*sigh* I guess they have to put a warning label for this on hairdryers now, too. Can't people learn to use common sense to predict some basic dangers of appliance use?

Sara-Sloth In reply to Freyad-Dryden [2012-05-01 20:38:28 +0000 UTC]
Well...Hair dryers don't really have a reverse feature so I wouldn't exactly call this a danger. (At least none of the ones I've used) You can rest easy, they won't be adding warning labels any time soon.

It's what I do.
That, and warn everybody about the impending invasion by the merciless penguin army.

Thanks for the warning budgie. I'll keep an eye out for my penguin neighbors to make sure they're not planning anything.
