Description
This is what happens when the Men of Iron decide to build a heavy assault vehicle. It's a heavily warped version of the original human-form chassis, designed for multiple terrain types.

It can walk on its multiple limbs, but on all but the roughest terrain it uses multi-directional ball drives clipped onto its hands. These can spin in any direction. The ball drives can be transferred to clamps along the belly (one is barely visible in the rear of the flank).

Again, this design was built to look like something descended from human ideas, and to contrast to other elements in the 40K setting. It's based on efficient, curved tank armour that can reflect impact and explosives. In this configuration the armour has many weak points, but it's actually designed to fold together into a low, compact design that can hug the terrain. Its few remaining weak spots are protected by mail: not something you normally see on an armoured vehicle, but the Men of Iron don't see a difference between a robot built as a trooper and a robot built as a heavy tank.

As well as modern tank and helicopter designs, this takes influence from Shirow-style spider tanks.

I had a lot of fun scratching in all the tarnish, wear, mud, and battle scarring on the armour. This was drawn and shaded entirely as a vector in in Inkscape, by the way, but there's so much detail the SVG file is far bigger than a simple PNG render.
