Thanks! I base it on the fact that I'm a visual learner and need image examples for myself. xD

*laughs* I tend to need both the text and the images in order for stuff like this to make sense, so this works great for me!

I'm glad I could help!Β
The way you color is awesome by the way! I really like the "Down Down Down" Alice in Wonderland piece.

Yes, I work as a magician of explanation, they just use the term "teacher" there instead.

This is going to be SUCH an amazing book and I am DEFINITELY looking forward to it. Your tutorials have been so amazingly helpful to me since I found them and I love them all. (Though this one might be my definite favorite. I think I've done some of this subconsciously before, but I've never thought about it with so much detail and I'm excited to start applying these ideas to my own work!)

Glad you're eager to try it out! Out of the hundreds of favorites that my tutorials get, I've only see one person so far actually try it.

I've been wanting to, and I've definitely seen your tips and tricks bleeding into the way I think about my sketches! I've just been in a bit of a rut where I do all of the sketching and never finish anything.
But I've got this one idea in the works that requires a lot of thought about perspective and how it functions (and keeping characters in proportion to what I'm drawing) so all of your tutorials are back up in tabs so I can reference them and make sure I do everything right.

OMG, I never finish my sketches either. Making this book is going to force me to finish my drawings! xD

This is pretty awesome! I love reading about the effects of different parts of drawings/paintings and the like, so this was a pretty sweet read~ Will keep this in the back of my mind to come back to, most definitely! ^-^

this is really good advise! I see this so often being an issue in as example games, where the graphics are not fitting because of inconsistency, but I had alot of problems explaining to them what I mean now I can just show them your "tutorial"

Awesome! I hope to help artists see that backgrounds are characters too.
