Description
This guy by himself is technically basically done, but the rest of the drawing is missing.Actually, it's done, but it curled as I colored and now it gets to sit in the back of a large book for a few days.
I finally got a Micron pen! Fin rays are so much easier now. These guys are very mixed-media. I use ballpoint and gel ink pens, markers, permanent markers, colored pencils, #2 mechanical pencils, Micron pens, and pretty much anything else I can get. They start as a pencil sketch of basic shapes, then a refined sketch, then fin rays in pencil, and then traced over with Micron pen, then outlines and markings in various media, and finally shading in colored pencil. All told, each completed piece probably takes about 8 hours.
