Description
OblifThe Righteous
The north wind blew strong, ancient oaks creaked against it in defiance, it ruffled the fur of the old fox as he walked through the glade, with his stag companion. They continued to proceed in silence for a measure of time. Then it was the great, white stag that broke the silence.
"We both know that the rot has infected Armello." He stated in a deep, well educated voice. "It is only a matter of time before the foul infliction seeps its way into the White Hills."
The fox scratched his ear with his front paw.
"I don't know Oblif, are you sure it's worth the risk. You don't even know were the rot is coming from... do you?" The old fox asked. His voice flowing in a strange accent.
The Stag seemed to think for a moment.
"Yes I do. In Armello the main source of rot... is the King, Tau." He answered matter of fact.
The fox's ears shot up.
"The KING, you want to murder the KING of Armello! And how in the Wyld do you know his NAME!" The fox yipped.
"Oh, do calm down before you lose all the hair on that old tail of yours. I know more about the realms than you think. And as for murder, it's a rather strong word wouldn't you say, Richard? Besides their king has been fully corrupted, nothing can save him now. You might say that killing him is a favor really. But, every clan in Armello knows that. That is why they all seek to claim the throne themselves, but if a corrupt hero sits on the throne of Armello... then it will be lost to the rot. Which mind you fox, shall upset our lands as well."
The fox rolled his eyes.
"And if your daring plan works YOU will become king."
"Oh, I have no desire to become king, only to utterly destroy the rot. And if they make me their king oh, well. Someone with the wyld's eyes and ears needs to rule that place anyway."
"Then what will you do?" Asked the fox. His ears twitched with uncertainty.
"I will hunt the Dragon Clan and destroy every last rot charmer. Then I will go to the Underworm. And the rot shall feel my fury, like that of a thousand suns raging down on it, it will run in terror but there will be nowhere it can hide from my wrath." The stags' blue eyes burned.
"Well sounds like you've got you're work cut out for you." exclaimed the fox, hastily trying to think of a way to change the subject. "I know we normally do stuff like this together but... I think this old fox is going to sit this one out. But send me a letter when you're done kicking butt ok?"
The stag looked down at his companion and smiled.
"I promise to inform you. And I think that you're staying here is a wise decision Richard." The stags' blue eyes beamed at his old friend. "I will see you again. Soon."
"I know I will. No rot can kill you, you stubborn deer."
Oblif smirked at his friend and headed into the forest. With his spear in hoof, its spirit stone glowing north towards the vile rot, it to wanted justice seen done to the darkness over taking Armello. It was the spirit stone's rite of the wyld to purify. Oblif continued onward, toward's the mysterious land of Armello, towards the seathing rot.
