I know this one.
This is at the end of perhaps my favorite episode 'All Our Yesterdays'. The episode where Spock actually falls in love.
It's just one of the most beautiful moments when Spock shows his emotions and starts kissing Zarabeth. It lifts my heart every time and I loop the kiss scene over and over enjoying every second. His smile and his words to her are some of the most romantic things I have ever seen and heard. True that he was becoming the way his ancestors were in the past, but this was the one time he fell in love with a girl without the use of spores, a disease, a puppet master, or so on. It was all on his own will. Even after McCoy told him what was happening to him, that still didn't stop him from loving Zarabeth on account of the farewell scene. He did not wish to leave her. She even bore a son after he left named Zar. When Spock returns to that time to retrieve Zar, he thinks to himself of what went on in that cave. He mentions that there was always a time or two he sees her face before he sleeps. Then he admits at the end of the book as he says farewell to his son that he truly did care about Zarabeth. "She was all the warmth in her world." he says. Now that has got to be one of the most romantic things I ever heard. If Spock has heart enough to say such a wonderful thing about her, then there truly is a caring loving heart in that Vulcan body and soul of his.
This image here by the way. It gets me in between of a lifted and broken heart. Here he has returned to the present and accepted that Zarabeth has been dead and buried for 5000 years. However you can see it in his eyes that he will never forget her and always have caring feelings somewhere in his heart.
