Huge image...I blame I work on a large monitor and don't realize the size.And oh my goodness, gracious something that isn't Transformer related, what is the world coming too...
In any event, super late Art Trade which I felt horrible taking so long to do, but, I wanted to at least perfect a few things before working on it and i've been just biding my time to er, fix some of the kinks that I tend to pick at with a lot of my stuff in general...
Hopefully I did not mangle Space Godzilla too much (I haven't drawn Godzilla type things in ages, and I mean since I was a kid), KaijuSamurai! I tried some new coloring techniques with him, mostly because of the way I did the lines and details and for something more "organic" it worked out better. Or i'm going to pretend it did...
Anywho, for - I will hopefully have my new Ravenwing ref up soon (unless i'm feeling like a horrible blah which has been lately) and thus...um...something to go off of.
And why yes, I hope I portrayed his rage appropriately.

And also, I am curious...that T-rex in your avatar...is that a painted up Bull T-rex figure from The Lost World series of toys? I don't believe i've seen that color, i've got the first run one - really blah I missed out on getting the Chaos Effect one years ago. @_@;

Really? Now i'm going to have to look that up, lol! I don't recall ever seeing those colors! That new one they have at TRU I like, i'm sad it can't eat any figures though. That was one of my favorite things about the Lost World one. XD

Indeed, hehe. I really miss all my figures. -_-; Been a few years, my mother got rid of all most all of them and I have only a sparse few left, which infuriates me to no end.

Yeah, it makes me sad thinking about it so much. And I didn't really have a choice in the matter, they just started disappearing. Ahhhhh...god. I even had the old Compound playset from the original toyline...I still have a Utahraptor around here somewhere though...

Hehehe, i've only seen one movie and it was in parts with Space Godzilla. I did like his design quite a bit though. But I when I was younger I did watch the old Godzilla a lot, so I guess in a nostalgic sense I like him too.

I am so glad you like him! ARGH, I was so worried he was going to look wonky or something, blargh. Like seriously...and i'm still mad at Photoshop, but I blame Windows 7 on that, I didn't realize it was going to make things look so weird...and by that, it looked very different until I saved it, but, I guess nothing can be done about that, rawr.
For not drawing a Godzilla type monster in forever, I am glad to have been able to draw Mister Space Godzilla to your liking - though I still think I made his face a bit wide and have been told so...I guess my want to show all the muscles in his head for his big friggin' jaws crept in - and for that, I blame my Tyrannosaurus love. Lol
And no rush! Lol, I should send you some of these sketches of unfinished ref sheets though...I like and both hate that I keep like, influencing my own style to change so much, but it's her general over all look which is still influenced a bit by TFA...but I think i've gotten a bit too obsessed with details lately and started falling back into pecking at the more comic book style influence.

No problem dude. Yeah you kinda made him a little big, you can tell with the comparison of the arms with the reat of the body but it still came out preety awesome and badass. all you need is to refresh yourself in this area and youll be fine and perhaps if you still feel bad about this you can probably give it a second go sometime later in the future. but i still love the colors and detail, theyre just awesome. a full body piece of this would definately look cool

Oooh, I was mostly going off his jaws in relation to the rest of his head, lol. The images I used as reference, he isn't exactly the most fit looking monster, and it seems to be a running thing with a lot of them, not that that is a bad thing. I mostly made his jaws bigger to fit with the idea that he has a lot of musculature backing up his maw-influence from T-rex and others.
I feel a lot better about it now, as the person who I did it for really liked it, so, it was of course me worrying about nothing which I tend to do anyway, hehe. But thank you again!

Yeah i could see that lol. yeah he is a big fatass but he does have a ton of muscle. i mean he has more mass than the normal godzilla. also influencing his maw from T-rexes and them is awesome because well T-rexes are awesome lol. but you did a really awesome job on this. the colors are just so awesome. like i said a full body of this would be epic.

hell yeah lol! i mean big muscle alone will win me in mostly any situation, but add a 1 ton bite, badass design and a powerful yet sleek body and you got a recipie for one badass dino.
i mean T-rex has been the staple for countless upon countless of monster designs, kaiju designs, and creature influences. no dino has influenced Hollywood, Toho, The media, and our hearts (boo so cheesy!) than T-rex has. i mean he influenced my favorite kaiju's design, Zilla a lot.

Very true, very true. I don't know that much about the Zilla verse, but I do remember that in one movie a while back I saw, that it was mentioned he was a combo of a T-rex and Stegosaurus or something. I think it was the US version of King Kong vs Godzilla...which I hated because King Kong wouldn't beat Godzilla ever...or a T-rex...ARGH. I remember raging when I saw that old black and white of King Kong vs a Rex and killing it. And I was a little kid then, and I just remember all that rage! LOL

ah i think Zilla is a combo between a T-rex and a Spinosaur i think.
yeah thats why i hated the Spinosaur in Jurassic Park III lol.
But yeah no other dino has made a larger effect on the world and the media than T-rex AND now im in the generation in which they might walk the earth again! if i ever saw a real live one i would melt not of fear but of envy and over exposure to pure awesomeness. I just hope they look like what they would have looked liked back then. talking T-rexs wouldnt be bad either lol.

this was a older movie before the big thing with Spinosaurus, but that might be correct too and I might have heard it wrong. Again, it was a while back.
And ugh...don't get me started on JPIII. I actually raged aloud when the T-rex got his neck snapped by the damn Spinosaurus.
And true very much so, Dinosaur is all most all ways somehow connected with T-rex i've noticed...but after the JP movies the hype with raptors got really huge. I honestly didn't even know about Velociraptor in those movies, I thought the damn things were Deinonychus which I did know about. Ah well...

its not that old. its only 12 years old. some of the Jurassic Park movies are older than it.
Yeah that angered me too. i mean Spinosaurs only eat fish not they didnt go after bearly anything on land so that was a load of bull.
But yeah T-rex is the best dino ever. probably the reason why he has such a large reputation was because he was one of the first and actually appealling dinos. I mean every monster or creature today has something from a T-rex. you dont see Raptors, Triceratopes or Brontosaurues being made into monsters now do you? even if they base a monster around the form of a raptor theyll just beef him up and pass em off as a T-rex based one.
T-rex is so awesome that if i had to choose which animal form the beginning of time to now to be eaten by id choose to be eaten by a T-rex lol. i would actually be happy knowing that im being crushed and torn apart by an awesome creature. but hey at least i would be eaten by royalty

And ahhh, I might end up drawing my Albino T-rex character...I used to have such a big fantasy based dinosaur story...but meh, the block be owning me up and down the street. :C
And haha, agree with the sentiment on Spinosaurus...but i'm sure he'd eat like stragglers or baby dinosaurs or something if he had the chance, but considering he is a relative of Baryonyx and Suchomimus who were fish eating dinosaurs, well...just goes to show, lol.

an Albino T-rex? cool. is he going to be humanlike or natural?
Oh yeah i mean he had to get huge by eating more than small fish. i mean that guy is preety huge and the fact that he could swim makes him a preety cool dino but not as cool as T-rex though. though it was funny to see him portrayed as an evil dino in Jurassic Park 3 though. i liked the part when they called the phone and it was ringing in his stomach while he was looking at them lol.
But yeah i cant wait to see your albino T-rex.

Haha, if I get a picture of her, hopefully. And yes, it's a female. I have quite a few dinosaurs, I just haven't drawn any in a bit...there is probably sketches of them somewhere in the belly of my gallery somewhere...lol.
And she is normal...except for some fantasy elements, but that's mostly how I roll anyway, lol.

I cleared off a ton of them, mostly because I can't really stand to look at some of my old stuff, lol. Unless I feel the need to jump start my urge to work on what i'm doing now. I am weird that way...
And hopefully, though my mood is hard to press to do anything right now that isn't TF related, lol. Still love me some dinosaurs though, hehe.

Lol true, I love reptilian things, but Dinosaurs and Snakes are my top favorites. As far as TF, I love them all, well, not so much Beast Wars but I don't shun them as much as I did as a kid. LOL

I love reptiles as well, though it seems i've got a huge penchant for odd things, reptiles, mechanical beings, and other odd creatures, lol.
Some of my favorite pets are reptiles, I have quite a few snakes, one day i'd like to breed them...ONE day. Arghs!

Hehehe, they are beautiful and deadly that is sure. I like quite a few aspects though of many creatures, I think that is why it's fun with dragons as they can be combos and still be very reptilian.
