I was actually motivated today, go me. Practice work before a larger image I am going to try and mess with momentarily hopefully. Just tired. Obvious by lack of rambling commentation and asdfksajldkgslg.Elita 1 inks, sketch is here:
I will say that Copic Multiliner SPs are now my favorite pen in the world. My poor Faber Castell's...ah well. The fact these things flowed over this damn Bristol Vellum without a hitch makes me glee in ways. I guess we'll see how they run with the Bristol Smooth, my preferred paper, when I get to this next image. And no, that one hasn't been previewed, surprises.

Wow! Thank you very much for that, and yeah, it's I agree, it's a little hard to put it down imo from that strict CGI to a more comic book illustration feel. I've seen quite a bit of fan art out there, but since I stick to this thick black line craziness I can't put things together with the very little line weight and what not i've seen.

You weren't kidding when you said your detail came with the inks! Much love for those and the line weights of course. I'm especially fond of her knees and those 'cuts' in her upper legs for some reason.

Thank you so much! And yeah, the way I usually end up doing stuff, the sketches themselves will present the main body, but when the black and white comes in is when I start getting srs face and don't even notice.

Her colors will probably be more based on the colors that the action figure from RotF was actually, a friend played with the color scheme and i'm probably going to go by that, just with a few other details. I think pink isn't really going to set well with her in this look. LOL

I LOVE my copic multiliners. I need a .2 though. I just have .1, which is really flimsy, and a .3, which is too bold.
How do you scan it in/erase the background?

Oooh Multiliner SPs...SO GREAT! I ended up getting quite a few different sizes, but I know what you mean about the .1, my 0.05 is like...I don't even. So thin...but minute details is what I needed so, lol.
As for the question about the scan/erase- I erase normally with a "gum" eraser, though I may look into getting an electric one soon enough. After erasing, I scan the image in with color, since my sketches are done in blue, then turn it grayscale after I connect the images (If they are to big and have to be scanned multiple times) then if using Photoshop, I end up pulling up the level window ( ctrl + l ) and mess around with that until the white is all there, and the black is, well, really black. With sketches and such, I do the same until it looks right, but since the linework is a lot more crisp, gotta play around with it a bit more, that image of Strika and Knockout I just recently posted is an example of that.
BUT if i'm confusing, here is an actual page that explains it! [link] Though a friend of mine ~Lynxia also helped me out with the tips on how to scan as well.

LOL, well, I meant to ink her before, but finally decided to sit down and just do it. I've been so lazy and slow lately, BUT...hopefully, ARGH. I need to get back on the ball. ANd I love the colored version you did, ya silly!
And I did, it looked kinda weird so I just stuck her wheels there. LOL
And I want too, but it will have to wait after these inks at this point that I am trying to complete right now. ARGH! LOL Procrastinating, this is what the intartubes do.
