Joruus C'baoth was a Jedi Master in old the Jedi Order during the final decades of the Republic era. Like fellow Jedi Master Dooku( later Darth Tyranus), C'baoth was arrogantly sure of his skills and talents and viewed non-Force sensitives as inferior to Force-sensitives.

These ideas made C'baoth a controversial figure among his peers; C'baoth was regarded as the epitome of a Jedi Master by some, while others were distrustful of him. However, even with his controversial opinion/idea, he still managed to have his exemplary career and train a Padawan, the young Human female named Lorana Jinzler.

In 27BBY, with support from Jedi Order/Galactic Senate, sent six Jedi Masters, twelve Jedi Knights(Amongst the Jedis were Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, two last-minute additions to the roster put on by Mace Windu to keep an eye on C'baoth but later departed at Roxuli ), and 50,000 men, women, and children on an expeditionary project called Outbound Flight. The mission is to colonize worlds in the Unknown Regions and beyond, extending the Galactic Republic's reach and meeting extragalactic life. C'baoth was the leading proponent of the Project, which he envisioned as the precursor to discovering unknown species that could be taught the ways of the Jedi but Outbound Flight. Unfortunately was ultimately doomed by his arrogance and events outside of his control. In the Unknown Regions, the ships were almost destroyed by the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force and Lieutenant Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo(better known by the core name Thrawn and later only non-human Grand Admiral of Galactic Empire). C'baoth eventually fell to the Force's Dark side when he submitted to his anger and attempted to kill Thrawn but died when a Chiss radiation bomb exploded inside of the expedition's main starship, the Outbound Flight.

Joruus C'baoth (clone)was Guardian of Emperor Palpatine's Mount Tantiss storehouse on Wayland. Upon being recruited by Grand Admiral Thrawn to aid in his fight against the New Republic, C'baoth attempted to lure the Jedi Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa Solo to the Dark Side.
