Magic began to spill upward from the wand. Then like a moth attracted to flame, bent in the direction of the halfling as it sought to alter the light surrounding him so that others saw someone else in his place. He guided the spreading, pulsing energy easily with his mind, settling on an image of a long-ago friend who had passed away suddenly when illness had swept though their home town. Another dwarf began to take form, bringing that memory back to life, if only visually.
