I'm fine with people referencing art, I just don't like it when people flat out trace. But this isn't traced. Try to line up the snouts and see for yourself. If Birdycrossing is that butthurt about people getting inspired by her so much that she quit her career, then as far as I'm concerned, I don't care. If someone highly referenced off my art, I would just find that person as someone who is inspired by my art.
I've come across a lot of people telling me to kill myself. And yet Birdy whines about someone inspired by her. Seriously, try lining up the snouts and maybe even post it on DA.

I get why some people don't like highly referencing. They don't like their concepts copied, but just saying. No one should be harassed and cyberbullied for getting inspiration. And I think Birdy should have been a little stronger than that. It was a young artist that just wanted to have fun. If my art was highly referenced, I wouldn't care, and I might even actually give that person tips. I don't actually understand this, because I applaud referencing. And I know this person has one thing traced in their gallery, but that was the other deviation.

While I've come to notice that the rest of her gallery has been somewhat "original" I couldn't help but feel insanely disturbed by the fact that this person found it so attractive to heavily reference everything from one of my biggest inspirations- In my mind anyway. Keep in mind it has quite literally been a year since then- And if you look at my profile I've only been here for maybe a year or two- I'm pretty new to this digital art thing as you can tell. Old me had no fucking clue what was going on, all I knew was my friend was gone, and apparently, this person had art that looked almost identical to her's. So... What do you think my first few thoughts were? Most of them were along the lines of wait, they stole this art didn't they? I'm gonna let you in on a pretty obvious flaw of mine... When I'm pissed off I think quickly and come to conclusions that are either really good- oooorrrΒ really shitty. This was actually a really shitty good one you could say.
