Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime, was feeling pretty pleased with himself. He'd managed to auction off the Soul of Symkaria for a little over $50 million, a fair bit more than what he was expecting. Now, all that remained to be done was to secure it in a special transport case, to be taken to a discreet location where it could be handed over to the buyer. He placed his palm print on the door to his strongroom, opened it up... and on the pedestal where the statuette had been sitting, there was just one of the Black Cat's calling cards, glued to the pedestal with some familiar-looking webbing.

Then, just as Fisk was wondering how he was going to explain the situation to his buyer, one of his security guards approached him and nervously informed him that another guard had just been found unconscious in Fisk's office, and that more importantly, the safe had been opened, and the half-million in bearer bonds inside were gone. The luckless guard soon found himself being sent flying clean across the hallway with a single punch for his trouble.

Several blocks away, MJ and Felicia, who had both switched from their party outfits into their costumes as Spider-Woman and Black Cat before pulling their heist, both swung through the Manhattan skyline. Even if Fisk had found out what had happened, they knew they'd both be much too far away for him or his lackeys to catch them by now.

And so, the following morning at MJ's apartment, the two admired the haul they'd come away from Fisk's place with. Of course, only Felicia would get to hang onto what she'd taken - Happy Hogan was on his way over to collect the Soul of Symkaria and take it back to the city museum where it had been taken from. Still, Felicia admitted that ripping off other criminals was the kind of heroics she could get behind. And MJ was forced to admit that she'd enjoyed their little heist immensely. It looked like this was going to be the beginning of a new and unusual partnership!
