In all honesty- there is only one problem I have with Obama. And that was the health care act. Something needed to be done, and I do support the act, but I found it to be unconstitutional.
Other than that, he is quite average, a bit great, compared to the other candidates.

A conservative might think that way not just because he is pro-choice, but because of all of his more liberal stances
(Pro- gay marriage, govn controlled health care, welfare, anti 14th amendment for corporations, pro minimizing hand in middle east -even though he hasn't done that-, pro govn spending, etc).
There has always been a belief that the other side of the political spectrum will be destructive
(Like I, a liberal, am afraid of Santorum or Romney. And vise versa, the other side is afraid of Obama)
So I myself cut slack to conservatives. They demonize the other side just like I do to their side
