When I first began using DAZ studio, I tried out a lot of different scenes to get a feel for the program. Most of these scenes were poorly made, and thankfully never saw the light of day before I moved onto something else. To celebrate recently hitting 500 followers, I wanted to recreate some of my initial work, two years later. The original scene on the left and the remade version on the right, and hopefully it can inspire people to not feel put off by their initial work because I guarantee it will improve if you give it time and effort.
While I'm not super thrilled with how this one turned out, I'm still a fan of how the 2021 version got updated in the 2023 remake. The original was a super simple proof of concept, literally using the basic assets that DAZ comes with, and I basically just tested different points of view. The remake is clearly an improvement with the tiny man - or regular-sized man, I suppose - standing back to help give the scene some depth. The angle of the feet and what's supposed to be a sweaty reflection makes the remake look more dynamic. I'm also a fan of how the tiny is more willing, they've approached the giant rather than being forced to do something. Some people are into that, and it's nice that some giants allow them that opportunity.
