Description
Are you uncertain whether to stay within the safety of the room you're inright now or to step out into the hallway?
Don't worry. You'll be okay, I promise. Just follow these rules and you'll
be fine.
First, don't touch that switch. Everything will play out the same whether
the halls are filled with light or darkness.
Keep your body straight and your eyes forward. Take three deep breaths,
clear your mind, and take your first step in.
Keep walking. Don't ever stop. Don't even look behind you. Keep at it and
you'll reach the end in no time.
Don't let your eyes wander. That shadow you thought you saw was only your
own. Ignore all reflective surfaces. Look into one and it's over for you.
Silence is crucial. Don't make a sound, not even a peep or a wheeze. If you
hear something calling out to you, don't acknowledge it. No matter how much
it cries or screams, ignore it.
If you feel something touching you from behind, just tell yourself it's all
in your head. It's only some loose draft of air playing tricks on you. That
tug on your hair is all part of your paranoia.
I promise you that if you follow these rules you'll be ok. You'll soon be
safe and snug in your bed.
There is one thing I must warn you.
If you happen to break any of the rules
And you hear anything
The sounds of something heavy banging on the surface of the walls
A door opening
And shuffling on the floor
RUN.
