Ok ... ok ... ok! I saw the trailer of RWBY and I was genuinely shocked by the new costumes of the protagonists (even if all the others around them remain with the same old designs, showing great laziness on the part of Rooster Teeth).The costumes are simply ... ugly, those of Ruby and Blake do not change much and that of Yang is ... empty ... trivial ... without charisma (in the sense that it is too simple and "sober" to be a dressed in Yang) and Weiss ... That hair is not really my type: that mega braid makes the character heavy and not light and agile as it should be, the skirt is pretty, but with few decorations (even if Weiss should be that with the most gorgeous dress of the four girls).
Qrow is still present in the group without any real reason, like Ren, Nora and Jaune ... Salem is ... Salem (it means that you see her and her henchmen completely disappear from the trailer) and Ruby loses the relic (probably a trap for the spectator: you think they are losing the relic and instead, naaah! They are the good ones! who have another relic ... AAAAHHH !! I caught you!).
But behind all this mess I have only one question:
But Cinder and Neo, where the fuck are they?

Eh... gotta disagree with you there. Sheโs had five seasons since her official debut to try and make herself interesting. Most characters should only take an episode or two. Cinder has still not managed to make herself an interesting or compelling character after roughly sixty episodes. Sixty.
Say what you will about Raven as a villain, at least sheโs a CHARACTER with an actual ARC. Say what you will about Blake, at least she has more emotions beyond petty and spiteful.
Cinder has literally nothing beyond Jessica Nigri as a pretty damn solid VA and being as evil as possible. Being evil does not automatically make you interesting.

While the majority of the fandom are being a bunch of big babies and complaining about everything, I simply enjoy the show, faults and all. There is no such thing as perfect. It is out of our reach.

if i want to criticize something, is that the main characters need a way to be able to actually stand a chance against the bad guys, especially Cinder. I mean, I can think of several brutal deaths for her, most of which involve something explosive down her throat or killing her with a very fast-acting toxin/something that can pierce aura, to even overkill like throwing her into the sun.
speaking of which, another thing is Salem's immortality. that makes her unkillable. in my story, i intend to nerf her by having her be immortal like the ones from Highlander: can actually die from a fatal gunshot, a fall, or anything that would kill a normal person, but can come back. can't regrow limbs. only way to kill them is decapitation.
