this episode man. this episode makes me so emotional. the ending twists my guts each time i watch it. which lately has been a lot. lately on this depressive bout i keep thinking of this particular episode, of imagining myself years down the future, unrealistically somehow achieving everything i'd want in the world through hard work as well as the luck of getting the satisfaction from it. then having someone who interviews me/knows me well talk about my life like it was a story that could be wrapped up nicely with a tiny bow all the way at the end, talking about the hardships before things finally got into place.

and even though something like that is all fake, it makes me feel better. and the episode "ruthie" showed me both the tragic yet hopeful side of that.
