Description The intended title was actually "The Fastest Way to Defeat Your Shadow :: Water Temple--Ocarina of Time" Buuuuut that didn't fit. 8D;

I drew this as a Christmas present for the FANTASTIC . o3o If you don't want this up, I'll take it down. ;D just lemme know. <3~

...............and I JUST NOW realized.

I meant to color Link with a blue tunic. WHAT THE FUCK. UGH. *shoots self*

I might redo it, but chances are it won't work out.

So.... u__u I'm going to go ahead and post this.

GOD I want to shoot myself right about now.

I hope you like it anyway, Kelly.

PS--I'm sorry the background and certain other things in the picture I'd rather not point out the crappiness of are lame D:

----------------------

NOTE: the bit of brown-orange (brorange?) above the sheath on Link's back is not the hilt of another sword, but the strap that is actually holding the sheath on. Yeah. Toootally was brought to my attention by a very observant commenter that it looks like another sword. It isn't <3

NOTE2: I did not use the Megaton Hammer because that would have sort of defeated the purpose of the concept of this piece. Also because there wouldn't have been as much mirrordom. Also because when I fought this battle, I found the Megaton Hammer way too slow. It's probably that my own skills with it were lacking but I just gave up on it after a few swings. I hated it.

NOTE3: Yes, technically, Link should either still be holding his shield, or DL should have dropped his. Link's shield would have covered up most of DL if he still had it so that was a no-go. As for DL's shield, it didn't look right on the ground. Not to mention, it seemed like it would not make sense for DL to drop his, even if it was what Link was doing. After all, he is attacking him and trying to kill him. I guess at the same time this conflicts with the concept of the kiss, but generally the kiss is startling DL so much that he doesn't know what to do from there, which gives Link a brief advantage in which he can win the match.

:3 thanks for all the great comments, and thanks for pointing this stuff out!

I always used to watch the old disney films, like hercules, toy story, the little mermaid, lion king... etcetera, etcetera
and that reminded me of the king and I :3

OMG KING AND I. D8 <333 loooooved that one. I never saw the animated one that was done at some point....

My favourite Disney films are Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Mulan. I think Hercules would be up there, but honestly, I've never seen it all the way through >>; *FAILS*

I've seen more or less all the old epic disney films. But my favourite ones are definately: Alladin, Hercules, and toy story (can't wait for the 3rd one to come out!!!)

And I've only seen the animated king and I, my Grandma probably has the IRL one, so I'll ask her next time I'm at her house

TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!! 8D ahhh nostalgia

xD Yes. Toy Story 3 will be awesome. It must be.

I haven't seen Sleeping Beauty, either. >>; *EPIC FAIL*

Some of my favourite animated films aren't Disney, though. I adore both Anastasia and The Prince of Egypt. Movies with excellent songs are the ones I love most.

sleeping beauty scared me as a child, Maleficent came on and it was a *GETBEHINDTHECOUCH!* moment, but now I can deal with it.

I've never seen Anastasia or the prince of Egypt, but with animated movies, I went streight from Disney to Japanese manga, Akira, ghost in the shell and things like that. So that was a shock to the system.

Anastasia and The Prince of Egypt are Disney-esque. You should check them out. Particularly Prince of Egypt has EXCELLENT songs.

then check them out I shall. Have you ever watched a series called Cowboy Bebop? Because if you like things with good soundtracks, then this series is near perfect.

Of course! Cowboy Bebop is a classic here in the states. <33 I've seen almost every episode at least four times >>;

I haven't watched it in yeeeears though. D: I miss it. I should steal it from my brother; he owns it.

Sometimes I really wish England took to anime like America did, it's so hard to find it over here and when you do it's ridiculously overpriced

But luckilly I've managed to get all the Bebop episodes on my laptop, so I can watch it anywhere I go

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-09 22:08:03 +0000 UTC]

D: that's a shame that it's not too popular there. But there are good sites like zomganime where you can watch series online for free, though all the ones I've watched on there were in Japanese. Doesn't bother me at all, though. :3

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-09 22:43:31 +0000 UTC]

I've always prefered anime in Japanese, apart from Bebop, English seems more appropreate for it.

On a completely unrelated topic, what's you're gaia username? I would like to add you as a freind if you don't mind

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-09 23:24:22 +0000 UTC]

Mm. It depends, for me. Yes, Cowboy Bebop works very well with English. Certain shows work better in Japanese...but although I'm a student of Japanese language, there are some shows that I just... PREFER the English voices for. Like Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. I think the English voices all capture the characters better than the Japanese voices do, and I actually saw it in Japanese before I saw it in English.

Kuroshitsuji is one where, I haven't seen it in English yet, but I'll be interested to do so, because it takes place in England. I actually HOPE, for that one, that the English voices work well.

My Gaia username is Hallow Genki :3 what's yours?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-09 23:37:17 +0000 UTC]

Advent children, I've only watched in English, I'll give it a whirl in Japanese. I've found that in most cases films or serieses are better when performed in the language that the place is filmed. Or if it is a fictional place whatever culture that place is based upon. For example Bebop is based on Western culture, and works better in English. A film I saw a while ago called district 9, was all based in France, so French was the language used there, making it more authentic. So it isn't really important what language characters use, just that it's appropreate for the setting in which it's used.

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-10 01:22:38 +0000 UTC]

Totally agree, for the most part. But alhough Advent Children is very Japanese-influenced, I still prefer the English voice cast. Sometimes, to me, vocal expression matters. I feel like the Japanese voices in Advent Children just didn't fit the characters as well as the English voices did. That is, I suppose, with the exception of Cloud. I think I liked Cloud's Japanese voice better.

There'd by one wearing like, a sombrero and another one in a business suit, and the business suit one would be looking at the sombrero one, then make some comment about how he's feeding into the stereotype.

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-11 00:12:47 +0000 UTC]

That's a somewhat different idea to the one I had. I pictured a pair of upper class Victorian age donkeys sat around a fire, smoking pipes, and of course with handlebar moustasches. Alongside humans in the nuddy being used for manual labour.

If I decide to grow a moustache in my lifetime, I'm either getting a handlebar moustasche (because I'm that cool) OR a Lopan style tasch and beard (because I'm that crazy)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-12 15:56:41 +0000 UTC]

no, I have ridiculelessly low tolerance to any form of temperature, i think it started because I was sledging for about 3 hours, and got worse because my bedroom is in the attic and that can get really cold even with the radiator on full blast. I got frostbite before in my hands just from my paper round once, I was wearing gloves and my hands still practically froze.

But anyways, how is your ulcer doing? I hope it's getting better

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-12 16:45:15 +0000 UTC]

Oh no! That's really horrible. How cold does it get where you are in the UK?

It's been alright the past couple of days, but it'll take a long time to heal up, I fear. I suspect my medicine for it made me gain weight (like ten pounds), so I stopped taking it for now until I can consult my doctor.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-12 16:58:14 +0000 UTC]

It dosn't get that cold in the UK usually, it just dosn't take much for me to get affected by temperature, what feels cold for me can feel fine to someone else. I'm guessing it's because I'm so thin, my metabolism dosn't let me get fat, even after 6 months of inactivity caused by a cracked rib, and now my feet. I have more or less no fat on my wrists, hands or feet, meaning I have zilch in the way of insulation.

As for the weight gaining, 10 pounds isn't really that much is it? I mean when you're recovered some excersize could easily burn off what you gained.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-12 23:00:06 +0000 UTC]

Mm. It's just that I've been the same weight for the past few years, until now. I used to be really good at losing weight; I used to be about fifty pounds heavier than I am now, but that was way back in the day.

Yes, I know what you mean. Even now that I've gained weight, I'm still so thin that it feels like the cold blows right through me. And it gets pretty cold here, though today was a "warm day."

I'm confident that I can lose the weight, it's just discouraging and frustrating, because my pants were already somewhat tight-fitting before, and now they don't fit.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-12 23:34:05 +0000 UTC]

Your pants don't fit? That must be as annoying as heck, luckily despite inactivity i am staying at the smae wieght of 11 stones, but the muscle I once had has been replaced by fat, pretty much everywhere, apart from my right arm. Which makes it look kinda odd compared to my left. :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-13 00:38:33 +0000 UTC]

Why's your right arm different from the left one? O:

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-13 02:36:39 +0000 UTC]

I don't know, my right arm has retained it's muscley-ness but my left hasnt, so if I tense my arms mt right arm gets a bicep bulge but my left dosnt :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-13 03:28:43 +0000 UTC]

lol! Aw.... that's awkward. Do you use your right arm more for things than your left? Or are you basically ambidextrous?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-13 03:37:13 +0000 UTC]

I'm sort of abidexterous, I draw and write with my right hand, but use my left hand for everything else. Physically I'm insanley messed up, nothing in my body seems to work right.

Apart from I'm able to make myself cold, I have no idea how, but I can cool my body down by myself. Shame I can't heat it up really

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-13 18:01:51 +0000 UTC]

D: yeah. Yikes with the inability to heat up.

My body is pretty fucked up as well. I have arthritis in my arms and my really short torso doesn't...work so well. I have back problems and this is going to sound like it shouldn't be a medical concern, but it really is--I have no ass. It's so small that it hurts me to sit. :\ lol. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thatlankyguy In reply to Binary-Wings [2010-01-13 20:42:11 +0000 UTC]

Arthritis, that must be bloody annoying. As for the no ass thing, try reclining instead of sitting, although that probably isn't too good for your back...

Maybe we should found a group for all the people whose bodie's have gone down the crapper in some way. lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Binary-Wings In reply to thatlankyguy [2010-01-13 23:39:10 +0000 UTC]

lol YES. That would be an excellent group.

I do recline often, but I can't just recline all the time. When I'm in class, I have to sit in the most uncomfortable desks. It feels like I'm basically sitting right on my pelvis.

School chairs are the work of the devil! And that statement just reminded me of an argument I may have caused and am now trying to stop :/

Sometimes seating can hurt my ass as there isn't much meat on me anywhere, but I've now learned to always put my coat on the bottom of seats to act as a makeshift cushion. (If you do that make sure you dont have anything sharp in your pockets though)...
