Description These relatively simple animals have actually become the most common type of organism in Odinian seas, swimming through the currents or slithering along beaches and the seabed.  Free-swimming species feed on plankton and often gather in massive schools for mutual protection.  Bottom-feeders sift through the sediment for edible particles, and some are even able to venture up onto beaches to avoid competition.  Predatory species have enlarged olfactory flaps that they use to locate their prey, which ranges from small exoskeletal organisms to other fish-worms.
