Woo hoo after a couple months of work, here we have definitely one of most complex pieces of art I've ever done.
Clearsight navigates the dark paths of the past and the future, with stubborn and fierce determination in her heart. Tugging on her are the threads of fate - some brighter, leading to happy futures, and some darker, leading to bleak futures. Behind Clearsight are the cogs of time, and the darkness. Before her lies the path of light. The pocketwatch with the hourglass symbolizes her trek through time, and the ability to change what has already fallen as evil (the white grains of sand) to good once again (the black sand).
There's a ton of symbolism in here, which I really enjoyed adding (because symbolism, heck yeah, is my favorite thing ever to add to art or writing).

This artwork was commissioned by my friend ArbitraryRenaissance , as a cover for his Wings of Fire fanfiction, Brighter Paths!

Pretty much all of the symbolism is his idea and connects right into his story.

I'd definitely suggest checking it out if you liked Darkstalker Legends and were sad about how Darkstalker and Clearsight's relationship ended. And especially if you thought Darkstalker acted a bit stupid in some cases despite the fact that he was described as "smart" X'D And if you thought Clearsight didn't quite really do everything she could have to bring about a happy future. Here's the summary below:

"Darkstalker believes that Clearsight deserves the future that she wants, just as much as he deserves the future that he wants. That's why he decides to gift her an animus-touched object (a pocketwatch) that gives her the power to change the past. Where will the future take her if she got the opportunity to redo things? Can she find the brightest path? Or is she doomed to a fate of darkness?"
