Overview:

MGT-16 features a vast number of modifications and upgrades, which substantially improve its performance. It should be noted that most of the modifications shown and described here are compatible with both, full-size model and short barreled one.

Magazines:

MGT-16 is compatible with M-715 10 and 20 round magazines, but can also accept proprietary 30 round stick mags and 50 round drum mags.

The 30-round magazines are often the default magazines for the weapon.

Stocks,grips furnitures and rails:

MGT-16 comes without any stock by default, but the user has an option to outfit the weapon either with a folding stock or with a solid wooden stock. Sometimes MGT-16 comes with a folding stock by default. The short-barreled variant accepts only folding stock.

Both full-size and short size models feature front grips for more stable fire control. The grip can be removed and replaced with railed handguard in case with the full-size model, or in case with the short barreled model the grip can be detached and replaced with the accessory rail at the bottom, on the sides, and at the top of the gun, to allow mounting various accessories.

Sights and accessories:

The top of the weapon’s receiver can be used to mount either proprietary red dot sight or an 4-x optical sight, on both full-size and short barreled model.

If the user has installed accessory rails on top, more, less-proprietary accessories can be attached here, such as holographic sights, infra-red scopes, etc.

The bottom and side rails can be used to install various accessories: tactical flashlights, laser aiming modules, vertical and angled grips, etc.

Suppressors:

Both gun’s barrels are compatible with suppressors. The suppressors allow to reduce the firing noise and cover the muzzle flash, while not hindering the performance of the weapon.

Internal modifications.

Aside from a large number of external, the weapon can undergo a number of internal modifications. The user, if skilled enough, can optimize the firing mechanism to increase the rate of fire and reliability of the weapon. There is also an option of replacing the barrel with another barrel with the smaller twist-rate of the barrel’s rifling. This gives better spin to the bullet improving the accuracy.
