Gender: Female
Age: Young Adult
Species: Genetically Modified Earth Pony (Mutated)
Height & Weight: Average

Current Residence: The outskirts of the Crystal Empire, in an underground lab.

Mane Color/Style/Length: White w/ four red stripes / Short cut, goes down along her spine, with a long swirled lock above her eye.
Tail Color/Style/Length: White w/ a single red Strip / Long and flowy, the red strip swirls around it starting from the left

Coat Description: Dark grey, with long black sock markings. Her coat goes from the normal short, but it gets longer around her horns, ears, chest, thigh area, and lower legs. She paints on her eye make-up, often dark grey cat eye lining, and some dots under the eye.

Eye Shape/Color: Normal size/shape, solid red

Accessories: White or Black Surgical Mask, Her Half of a BFF Necklace, Decorative Bandages

Cutie Mark: Red Biohazard symbol under a virus vile

Special Talent: Virology and Patholgy (and Zombie references)

Friends: Princess Luna

Personality: Quiet, not super expressive, but does open up slowly.

Flaws: Can't handle crowds - timid, jaded at times, doesn't pick up on people's emotions well.

[Character History]
From a young age, Byoki was interested in Anatomy, especially sickness and diseases. She took this in her studies, which lead her having her own small lab in outer ring of Las Pegasus, working along with other medical scientists. One day while researching, Byoki was exposed to a new strain of a parasitic virus. She quickly isolated herself from all others, inside of her lab. She then spent countless hours watching over and researching her mutations, finding out a handful of things. Mainly, the virus can only spread by blood, she got her cutie mark from her work, and she has an easier time working at night. With the facts in mind, she finally allowed herself back out into public. Her co-workers, shocked at her highly altered appearance, quickly shunned her. Even the mass public was concerned, despite her attempts to explain that the virus is not that contagious or that dangerous.

Annoyed with how the ponies treated her, and lack of support from her co-workers. She took what she could and moved into the Crystal Mountains, before the Crystal Empire returned. She had an underground lab made, she continued her work, rarely going out to get supplies.

One day while getting supplies, on the train back to her home, she overheard a conversation a mother was having with their colt. The mother was trying dismiss her colt's interest in Byoki. Byoki actually spoke up for once, trying to explain to colt that she was just a little strange due to a virus. Upon hearing even the word "virus", the mother dragged her colt away. Leaving Byoki completely on her own in the back of the train car.
That night, Byoki looked up to the Mare in the Moon, suddenly feeling connected to her. Unaware that the Mare in the Moon was a real pony.
"Tell me moon, do you feel alone? Do the stars keep you company? Would you mind, if I kept you company? I would love your company while I work. You don't have to worry about me making you sick, and I don't have to worry you leaving me. You come back every night."
Byoki then made it a daily task to leave her underground lab to sit in the night to watch the moon, often talking to Mare in the Moon about her personal struggles.
When Princess Luna returned, she visited Byoki. Byoki was shocked, and slightly embarrassed that she had been so open with her feelings. Yet when Princess Luna wished to confine in Byoki, she rid herself and focused on helping her new friend. Luna was relieved to have someone who did judge her for anything she did.
Some days, they would have a "sleep-over". At night, Luna went back to her work over Canterlot and Byoki to her studies. Every day however, they would say hello.
The Crystal Empire's return allowed Byoki to have an easier time gathering supplies. Luna also tried encouraging her friend to make more friends than just her, but Byoki refused, believing the crystal ponies would fear her. Byoki also defended her position, by saying she only needed one friend.
