More than two or three colors are not necessary, for too much colors will result in a brown mud... You put the canvas on a flat surface and use a brush to apply the diluted colors on the canvas, one spot of, for example green, next to a spot of red. You have to do this part-time and one by one, for the colors dry up quickly and when you paint the colors first on a big canvas, the first spots will already be dry when you want to start with the alcohol. And I recommend to put some cloth or paper towels under the canvas, for the diluted colors will make a mess otherwise Before the acrylic paints dry, a few drops of denatured alcohol are added to all of the stains. I always splatter and drizzle them all over the colors And you should use old brushes for works like this because the alcohol affects them.
