I really like drawing Jack with hats on, I've realized. He just looks so classy! Anyway, this was one of two NMBC pics I did for Halloween, which I didn't scan until today (November 12). I'm just a bit late, I guess ^_^ This was done with a .5 mm rollerball pen, except for the sky, which I did in photoshop.I really, really like his hat!

Wow, your inking really shows off in this one. You really make excellent use of hatching and crosshatching. The hat is a nice touch too on Jack. Ever going to put him in a ten-gallon cowboy hat?

I just kind of stumbled across your page and saw this, and I must say you captured the 'essence of Jack' very well. The shading technique you used (which by God's name I don't remember) resembles Tim Burton's sketchings enough to make me stop and think, "Wait, this is on deviantArt..."

Dude, that's a bowtie shaped like a bat. Not spikey things. I can see how it's easy to confuse them if you aren't looking, though. But in my pic, Jack is wearing a coat, so you can't see his bowtie ^_^

It is! There's a little bat-head in the middle and the wings make the bow. It's easier to see in the show, but if you look at these [link] [link] [link] you can see it, too.
