Description
This drawing took me out of my comfort zone; and that's what I was looking for. I've kinda been in on a Prince Clef binge lately, so I wanted to try and emulate the 2D Mario Bros artstyle. It still has a bit of my style in it, so it's more of a mixture of the two. This is also my first time drawing something as elaborate as this, so I'm really proud of how this came out. I got to add much more detail to Clef's outfit (the upper body anyway). I also made an icon version because why not?

I had to restrain myself a bit though, because I'm not used to drawing with flat colors, so I was really tempted to step back into the comfort zone. Drawings like these are a good way to expand your palette and potential, so I'm happy I got positive results from this. Also, those pink blush circles on Clef's cheeks? He gets that from his mother.
