Hans Christian Andersen's The Little mermaid has always been my favourite fairy tale story - I was always so moved by the unconditional love she felt for the prince, and therefore I proceeded to paint her, finally. I tried to capture her innocence and her naturally introverted and dreaming personality (unlike what the Disney makes us believe).This is the full view as painted on canvas.
