Oh before I make any comments, read the following, I just realized that this "scene" is kinda like my story that I'm writing that focuses on Kara and her life growing up and become a sage. So enjoy the small preview:
Before she could react something darted through the water slicing the side of her body. She looked up to see more men with spears swimming down to attack her. The spears stabbed her repeatedly as other knives dashed slicing her body.
She needed to get away.
There was still blood in the water from the dismembered body and she didn’t want to cause any more deaths. She started to swim away but she still felt the stabbing of the spears, they were following her.
But she didn’t blame them, one of their or rather one of her villagers was just killed and they would want the head of the beast responsible. She pushed herself through the water starting to gain more speed, but she still knew that it was not enough to leave the group behind, they were all skilled swimmers and when they have a mission they will try their best to fulfill it.
The agony was the only thing that was slowly her down. The guilt of what just happened was still repeating though her mind as more knives were slicing her body. Her tail then started to move more rapidly as her body propelled through the more with more velocity, she heard the splashes behind disappearing softly as she swam into the deep ocean.
She looked back briefly to see the men in the distance as she started to descend into deeper and darker water. As the sunlight started to dim she slowed down and started to swim slowly just enough to get water pumping through her gills.
She kept her decent feeling the temperature in the water become cooler, however her body adapted to the sudden change to keep her warm. Once the darkness enveloped around her she started to change back to her human form, this time all her animal features were completely gone.
The darkness around her was somewhat comforting, and this scared her, she wasn’t the type to seclude herself when she was feeling depressed, she would always find comfort in her fellow villagers.
She held her arms close to hug herself, the thought of her villagers and the grief that is going to hit them like an immense tidal wave.
Kicking her legs she started to rise up towards the surface.
Keeping her head down and holding her arms the water started to brighten around her. Small fishes and other sea creatures swam up to her and circled around until they went off into the deep again.
A school of tropical fish bunched up around her creating a colorful barrier, she slowly extended one hand and touched the fish softly as they floated closely. When she retreated her hand the school gathered together again and swam towards the shallow coral.
Something then bumped her from behind she lifted her head slowly and turned to see a large great white shark facing her, its jaws partially open as it swayed its tail back and forth. If a villager saw this shark they would be petrified and maybe it would have mistake it for what she had done.
She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around the head of the shark and placed her head softly on top. As she petted the calm shark the thought of it being killed because of her brought tears to her eyes, she was a water goddess and all the creatures in the sea were dear to her. Even as she stood floating at that moment she saw the true calm nature of this mighty animal, one that was truly feared but dangerously misunderstood.
Her hand gently petted the sharks’ sand paper skin as she also kept a soft current flowing so the shark would not drown from standing still.
“You are such a beautiful creature, and yet we are mistaken for mindless beasts.” She spoke softly.
The shark moved its head up as Kara lifted hers off its head to look at it straight into its black bottomless eyes. It did not scare her, but as she put herself into the villager’s point of view it was terrifying. She shook her head from the thought and kissed the shark softly on its nose.
“Please swim far away from this area as I settle the humans, I don’t want anything to happen to you or other sharks in the area.”
The shark gazed at her, it could not speak but as it looked at Kara it spoke to her mentally understanding her wish.
“I will summon you all when the time is right, so please…” her voice faded softly as she backed away from the shark. It circled around her twice, the last it brushed its body against hers as it swam off into the deep sea.
So that's my mini preview
Ok now for the picture comments, I thought the water background was going to give me the hardest problem but it turned out to be the first thing I did and it came out really good
And now the shark, I had many references just looking at posters in my room, and the one that hangs right about my desk was perfect
I had so much fun with this piece, it really sends a message about sharks too of how they are not as bad as people make them out to be, but as a drawing or in real life they are beautiful animals and a lot more people have to understand that. And Kara is the perfect character to have in it as well, for her being a shark and all, I just love my OC ^^
Please tell me what you think

Aww, you're so good at drawing sharks :'3 It looks really good! They really are misunderstood, indeed.
