i have a question, is it a complete different between grayscale painting and colored painting? i mean, the whole process. or you just, add a different layer to add a color

it depends) But usually people start to paint with colours at once. You also can colour the black and white painting - with layers or gradients, but the result won't be that good, it's a double work)

I imagined this pic in my mind, then I drew it with the tablet and Photoshop CS5, using some game screens of the char and pistol for the refs.
