En parcourant le concept art du Dr Derange, j'ai remarqué que certaines parties des éléments n'étaient pas cohérentes avec la série animé (+ le comics) notamment dans la colorimétrie. Vous pouvez les voir dans mon Tumblr: www.tumblr.com/blackcassiope/7… ; www.tumblr.com/blackcassiope/7…

Fatigué de ces incohérences, j'ai pris la décision de le redesigner essayant de garder des éléments du concept et de les transformer. J'ai gardé le costume sauf que j'ai supprimé ses épaulettes car ça ne lui servait à rien (sauf une fois à l'épisode 50) et son gantelet (qui devrait être une prothèse du style robotique des années 60) que j'ai changé en prothèse plus contemporain avec un système de bouclier (inclus dans le concept + le jouet mais absent dans la série) ainsi qu'un canon-laser. De plus, j'ai opté pour une manche ample et longue pour qu'il puisse le retrousser avec facilité.
J'ai remplacé son oeil (selon le wiki, il aurait "soi-disant" un anévrisme cérébral ou un strabisme) et son casque, l'un par un globe robotique qui fait office de radar et de vision à infrarouge, et l'autre par une sorte de parabole qui a la particularité d'avoir une ouïe beaucoup plus développée que la normale.
J'ai fait un changement sur le design de sa combinaison mais j'ai laissé les bottes tels qu'elles étaient sauf que j'ai ajouté des propulseurs sous ses bottes.
Pour les cheveux, j'hésite entre lui faire une teinture comme sur le concept d'origine, des cheveux gris sur un côté (à la manière de Cruella) ou le laisser noir. De même pour la barbichette, je ne sais pas si je dois le mettre ou non.

Bien sûr, ce n'est pas mon dessin final mais un Work In Progress, je le retravaillerai au propre sur un autre fichier. Pour le moment, j'espère que cette progression vous aura plus.

Tired of these inconsistencies, I took the decision to redesign it trying to keep elements of the concept and transform them. I kept the costume except that I removed his epaulets as they were of no use to him (except once in episode 50) and his gauntlet (which should be a 60s-style robotic prosthesis) which I changed to a more contemporary prosthesis with a shield system (included in the concept + toy but absent in the series) as well as a laser cannon. What's more, I opted for a wide, long sleeve so he could roll it up with ease.
I replaced his eye (according to the wiki, he "supposedly" has a cerebral aneurysm or strabismus) and his helmet, one with a robotic globe that acts as radar and infrared vision, and the other with a kind of parabola that has the particularity of having much more developed hearing than normal.
I made a change to the design of his suit, but left the boots as they were, except that I added thrusters under his boots.
As for the hair, I'm hesitating between dyeing it as in the original concept, putting gray on one side (Cruella style) or leaving it black. As for the goatee, I don't know whether to put it on or not.

Of course, this isn't my final drawing but a Work In Progress, so I'll rework it on another file. In the meantime, I hope you'll enjoy this progress.
