Fictional tank destroyer for NationStates [link]

The Sabre Tank Destroyer was a short-lived project designed to support tanks and/or infantry against enemy armor in the 1950 War. Like all tank destroyers, the Sabre had high speed and firepower (90mm cannon) but little armor.

Suffering from a high profile, a poor engine, and a small ammunition capacity due to cramped space, production was scrapped after poor results in combat. Only some 6,000 were built.

I was originally going to call this the Tiger, since tigers are my favorite animal, but I didn't want people finding this when looking for the German Tiger Tank [link] The Nazis beat me by about 67 years, plus theirs is actually real, so I figured I'd just name it the sabre, after the sabre-tooth tiger.

Personally I think it looks like a crossbreed between the German Panther [link] and the US Sherman [link]
