This layout is now under the ownership of mntwk481, Sold Jan 29, 2007. Hooray, one step closer to my Nissan Versa!255 days ago, I created a concept layout of what I dreamed myspace could be if they hired some decent designers to renovate the slowly dying website [link] Just yesterday I looked back on the layout and cringed with disgust on how outdated it looked . Who knew 255 days could be so long. So I tried again, and this is what I got. Thanks for all of the feedback for the last layout, I can assure you it went into this one.
I think I may sell this one as well. PM me for negotiations!

One thing that I see and don't like it that top banner thing... I don't like that horizontal strip at the top of it, it reminds me of something on Microsoft's site that I never liked. That just really stuck out at me. The rest of the design it lovely. One more thing that I miss a little from your older design is some sort of a texture on the background. On the older one you had the diagonal pinstripes. To me, it just needs a little something more than the gradient. But that doesn't really bother me. Great design!

You should think about using a firefox extension like Stylish to actualy make it look like this. This is sooooooo much better than the current setup.

I think they stick with their terrible layout because it's easier on bandwidth.

One of the major contributing factors of Myspace not renovating is because people like to make their profile pretty. At Myspace everything looks like shit, so even the least design savvy users can make something that looks better.
A site like Virb though, already looks fantastic, so in the end there is less user interaction.
Myspace sucks horribly, but they aren't stupid.

Perhaps MySpace should really start to get up to Web 2.0 standards. I think this dude should also make a default MySpace layout too (like for profiles). Now that'd be a great interface!

definitely better - though i don't really like the "Hey there, Timoto!" - and I'd have made the background for "Meet your friends' Friends..." brighter than those for MySpace Music & Artist On Artist...
(but there's a lot more thats wrong with myspace than can be fixed my a redesign)

Yea this one is definitely much better. It's fresh and uses stronger colours.
It looks weird to have the blue header's light in the center. Try putting it on the logo.
Also to image of the two girls hugging for signing up seems awkward. A group of people would convey a better impression of what myspace is all about. Why would you have a sign up link if you were logged in anyway?
