Description
The Cerest, specifically the Sundyne variant, were the dominant species in their star sytem, having conquered and assimilated all their neighbors into what is known today as the Old Empire. The current Cerest Empire, unbeknownst to the old one, is alive and (relatively) well on a completely different planet (our setting) after their colony ship crash landed there.
The ruling class of Sundyne have a strong culture of conformity and had eradicated or subjugated any other culture that didn't line up with their maximum efficiency views (including any other Cerest... there aren't 3 dsparate species for no reason). This culture had been mitigated by the necessity of mutual cooperation between all the species now stranded on this planet, but has recently made a resurgence with the crowning of Emperor Savfrees.
In fact, "CE" (short for Cerest Empirial) is a catch-all term used to encompass all of the species not originating from Earth, whether or not it's what they prefer to be called, because of this erasure.
