Description In the back of Bryswyn railway museum we can find a unique engine....this is Amberline, an 0-4-0 industrial shunter built by the Boomer & Stone company in the late 1800's. This short lived company only lasted a year, building only one class of engine, with only 10 being built. Amberline is believed to be the last one completed before the company disbanded. She has had a long working life, being passed down from owner to owner until being withdrawn from service in 1943. She was purchased privately as a spares doner for one of her sisters, however little was taken from her...she was purchased from the family in the mid 2010s by a group of volunteers who worked for my railway and the neighboring railway of Honeywell. She gained the nickname Ember after she accidentally set the trackbed on fire due to sparks from her funnel. Unfortunately the group of volunteers who purchased her eventually parted ways and Amberline was donated to the museum as a static display....she is a permanent exhibit at the museum as one of her sisters I already own and operate. As we know it at least 6 of the 10 engines built have survived into preservation.
