SO hi This one stands out a bit in your gallery, but it's not becuase you used a base;
but it looks kinda wholesome, like the style is consistent throughout the picture
Let me try to give an example:

This one too has a very dynamic pose, and while the proportion of the head is a bit of, the body is pretty proportional and even
more expressive than the picture I'm commenting on! The colour contrast is pretty cool as well (Although I personally just like the lines more since
nothing is actually glowing there in the middle, but that's preference)

The MAIN problem though is the shading and the consistency.
You only have had to make the legs darker and the ears in patches, overall everything is pretty solid.
Soft shading can work very nicely too, in your case you just need some more training, and more confidence in using colored light and shadows, even on black fur

Consistency is the main problem - the blue piece has some kind of white outline, that looks like it is not very intentionaly there.
But then the eyes have a consistent outline, so you either have to leave it completely or use outlines completely
even for limbs that go inside. Consistency is very VERY hard to achieve, because digital art allows you to use so
many different ways of art and art style and lots is mixed. Madoka magica uses TONS of different styles and even
stop motion in their animation, but it still is consistent somehow.
I myself often struggle with where the boundaries are of what I should add or not, to make a piece look... full and everything looks deliberately u know?



This one too, maybe you need to work on the proportions, but the style looks very well matched No element except for the
letter on the hair looks like you didn't intend it to be there.
The nice color contrast between soft light blue and dark vibrant red is also very nice
