Description
Cover art for the new Lexy Cooper Mystery "pwned" - sequel to "schooled" which I made the cover for a while back. This is the first actual job I've tried inking the lines all on cintiq.. actually went pretty fast!.. going over a traditionally drawn sketch really seems to help me keep my normal line flow.. think I need to practice digital sketching more before turning it loose commercially --- Lines inked in Sketchbook Pro over a pencil sketch, with colors in Photoshop --Related content

I love the vintage pulp thing you do to the covers. Old school retro yet new school style too!

I'm always amazed by the way you consistently put out top quality work. Do you ever have a day where it's just not happening?

how do you get that sorta grainy/gritty texture on your work? is it a filter the image is ran through or is it just with the color choices?

I don't see any quality drop off. Awesome style and color as usual. Regarding digital sketching, I had to start by inking traditional linework, then graduate to sketching. Nothing to hard! Hope you keep up the great work!
